I had a lovely stay at a cottage nestled in a picturesque area by a river, surrounded by beautiful gardens and wildlife. The location was perfect, with easy access to both the charming town of Whitby and other scenic spots like Robin Hood's Bay. The owner was friendly and accommodating, ensuring a smooth check-in and providing all the necessary amenities. The house itself was clean, modern, and cozy, with plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. The added bonus of being child and dog-friendly made the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful and comfortable getaway.

The location was absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens and wildlife right outside our door. The walking track to Whitby was a total win for us, and the supermarket nearby was super convenient. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the house had everything we needed, including TV with Disney plus for the kids. The hot water and cleanliness were top-notch, and the child-friendly amenities made our stay stress-free. The small swimming pool looked great, and the private patio was a nice touch. Off-road walking and the viaduct added to the scenic experience. Captain Cooks Haven was an awesome bonus with the swimming pool, play areas, and BBQs. The owner's communication was excellent, and the key collection was a breeze. The cottage was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, with comfy bedding and mattresses. We even had coffee supplies and a complimentary bottle of wine. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage in a picturesque and tranquil location. the gardens by the river were beautiful, and we enjoyed spotting ducks, herons, and other wildlife. the disused railway track was a great way to walk into town or explore the countryside with our dog and double buggy. the house itself was modern, clean, and cozy, with plenty of hot water and all the amenities we needed. the owner was friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We also appreciated the convenience of nearby supermarkets and the easy access to other attractions like Robin Hood’s Bay. Cons: Nothing, it was perfect! 😊.

The bathroom with a bath or shower in Waterside Cottage was so cozy and relaxing! After a long day exploring Whitby, taking a long bath was the perfect way to unwind. It made me feel like I was pampering myself in my own little sanctuary.
Personally, I found the bathroom with just a shower a bit disappointing. It didn't have that luxurious feel that the other bathroom had.

We chose this place for its excellent location, nestled in a scenic and tranquil area surrounded by beautiful gardens and a river teeming with wildlife. The cinder track provided a delightful walk into town or the countryside, perfect for enjoying the company of our furry friend. The house itself was modern, clean, and cozy, equipped with all the necessary amenities. The owner was friendly and helpful, providing us with easy access to the property and ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. The small private patio was a lovely addition for warmer days.
The only downside was the uncomfortable double bed with a noticeable lean towards the middle, but it didn't pose a major issue as we were a party of two utilizing the other bedroom.

Aspects. The double bed in the cottage was uncomfortable, with a noticeable lean towards the middle, which made it difficult to have a restful sleep. The walk into town was inconvenient, especially in bad weather or after dark, as the road had fast-moving cars and no footpaths, posing a danger for families with children or strollers.
